1. Agreement to Terms

By purchasing products from TAKAUJI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Sale. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

2. Products and Pricing

Product Availability

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue products or modify specifications without notice.

Pricing

  • All prices are listed in USD and exclude shipping, taxes, and duties
  • Prices may vary by region and currency
  • We reserve the right to change prices at any time
  • Price errors may be corrected, and orders may be cancelled

3. Orders and Payment

Order Acceptance

Your order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion.

Payment Terms

  • Retail Orders: Full payment required at time of purchase
  • First-time Wholesale Orders: Full payment required upon order confirmation
  • Established Wholesale Accounts: 50% deposit upon order confirmation, NET 30 for balance

  • Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Wire transfer (preferred for wholesale orders)
  • PayPal (additional fees may apply)

4. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping Options

International Shipping from Japan:

  • Express (DHL/FedEx): 3-8 business days depending on destination
  • Standard (EMS): 10-24 business days depending on destination
  • Sea Freight (Bulk Orders): 45-75 business days

Delivery Terms

  • Delivery times include customs clearance
  • Risk of loss transfers upon shipment
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout
  • Customs duties and taxes are buyer's responsibility

5. Returns and Refunds

Return Policy

  • Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery
  • Products must be unopened and in original packaging
  • Customer responsible for return shipping costs
  • Refunds processed within 5-10 business days

Non-Returnable Items

  • Opened food products (for health and safety reasons)
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Products damaged due to misuse

6. Product Warranty

Quality Guarantee

We guarantee that our matcha products are authentic, organic (where stated), and meet our quality standards at the time of shipment.

Shelf Life

  • Unopened products: 24 months from production date
  • Opened products: Best consumed within 3-6 months
  • Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the products. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions may not allow these limitations.

8. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or shipping disruptions.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kyoto, Japan.
